LI-200-FLEX5 is one of the largest standard sizes in Lancs Industries' flexible shielding line, built for higher-activity sources and larger work areas, including Co-60 applications, where the higher photon energy typically demands more shielding mass than a Cs-137 source would need to hit the same attenuation target.

LI-200-FLEX5 NuShield™ Flexible Shielding Designed Uses

At this size, source type meaningfully shapes the right material and thickness combination, a Co-60 job may call for tungsten's higher attenuation-per-inch to keep the blanket manageable, while a Cs-137 application might comfortably use iron or bismuth at a lower overall cost. Because of the added length and mass, installation is generally a two-person job, and higher-density material configurations may benefit from rigging support. Whichever material and source combination fits your project, the FLEX5 is built to deliver consistent, near-continuous coverage across a larger source or work zone.
