The LI-200-FLEX6 is the largest standard size in Lancs Industries' lead-free flexible shielding line, built for area shielding around larger equipment, extended pipe runs, or higher-activity sources where a small blanket won't provide enough coverage. It's frequently specified for Co-60 applications, where the higher photon energy calls for more shielding mass to reach the same attenuation percentage a smaller blanket delivers against Cs-137.

At full length, the FLEX6 typically calls for two technicians to install, and the material choice has a real effect on handling: tungsten offers the highest attenuation per inch of thickness but adds meaningfully to overall weight at this size, while iron keeps mass more manageable for crews handling a full-length blanket, at the cost of needing more material thickness for the same attenuation. Bismuth splits the difference, lighter than tungsten with lower toxicity than either lead or tungsten alloys, which some facilities prioritize for worker handling and long-term material disposal. Whichever material fits your source and handling constraints, the FLEX6 delivers continuous coverage across a larger source or work area without piecing together multiple smaller blankets.
