LI-200-FLEX4 is built for jobs where coverage starts to outweigh portability, wrapping larger equipment sections or extended valve manifolds that would otherwise require multiple smaller blankets. At this size, tungsten's density becomes a meaningful advantage: it delivers more attenuation per inch of thickness than bismuth or iron, which matters once a blanket's overall size and weight start to add up.

LI-200-FLEX4 NuShield™ Flexible Shielding Designed Uses

Because tungsten reaches a given attenuation target in less thickness than iron, it's often the preferred material once blanket size grows, keeping the overall shield more manageable to install and position even at 4 feet in length. That said, tungsten's density also means more weight per square foot than bismuth or iron at equivalent thickness, so at this size, installation typically benefits from two technicians regardless of material chosen. Bismuth and iron remain available for applications where tungsten's cost or weight profile doesn't fit the job.
