LI-201 Lead Shielding Details
LI-201 is Lancs Industries' smallest flexible lead shielding blanket, sized for spot-shielding applications where space is tight and precision matters more than coverage area. At 1 foot by 1 foot, it's built to wrap, drape, or mount directly over a localized radiation source, a valve, a junction box, an instrument, or a small section of pipe, without the bulk of a full-panel shield.
LI-201 Lead Shielding Designed Uses
Because it's flexible rather than rigid, the LI-201 conforms to irregular geometry, flanges, fittings, curved piping, where a rigid shield can't seal properly. Its compact size also makes it field-friendly: a single technician can position, secure, and remove it without rigging or a second set of hands, which matters in tight radiological work areas where minimizing time near a source is the priority. The PVC or high-temp cover keeps the lead fill contained and wipeable for contamination control, and the grommet layout allows it to be tied, hung, or fastened directly to the structure being shielded.
