Pipe runs present a shielding challenge flat blankets weren't built for: a continuous curved surface that needs full coverage without gaps or seams where radiation can escape. LI-200-FLEX Custom Pipe Shield is engineered specifically for this geometry, shaped to wrap around a pipe of your specified diameter and length in a way a flat blanket can't match, while still offering the same tungsten, bismuth, or iron material options as the rest of the flexible shielding line.

LI-200-FLEX NuShield™ Custom Pipe Shield Designed Uses

Because it's built to your pipe's actual diameter rather than adapted from a flat sheet, the Pipe Shield closes fully around the pipe with minimal gapping, reducing the streaming paths that can occur when a flat blanket is wrapped and cinched around a curved surface instead of shaped for it from the start. This makes it a strong fit for long pipe runs, especially in refueling outages or maintenance work where a section of piping needs continuous shielding rather than a series of overlapping patches. Material selection follows the same logic as the rest of the line: tungsten for the most attenuation per inch of thickness, bismuth for a lighter and less toxic option, or iron for cost-effective coverage where thickness isn't a constraint.
